What does the LTD mean on 96 Shabah
 

I just bought a 1996 Mariah Shabah Ltd. I am going to have lot's of questions and I already received some helpful information. The boat I bought is a 20' 1996 Maroon Mariah Shabah with a Mercriuser 5.7. Is the proper name Mariah Shabah 200? What does the Ltd stand for? I was told it has to do with the color and that there was only 60 of Maroon ones made. Is this true? Have not seen to many of them in solid colors. Saw a black one but it was a Z version. Were the solid colored Mariah's more scarce?

Welcome. I have a 1996 Shabah 200. Mine is white and Polo Green. I can't answer about the production quantities but I think the 200 was only made in 1996. Mine is the Standard. LTD probably is limited edition. The Z line is the loaded model. I am sure more knowledgable members will chime in.

I have not seen a lot of the maroon. Post some photos when you have time.

Your Shabah is very cool looking in that color. I bet it takes alot of work to keep it perfect, but well worth it. Do you have any more info on the production numbers of 60? Or possibly other info about the Limiteds? I started a thread about these colored hull models titled Grey Hull? I listed all the ones I could find with their years and info available. Please chime in with any other info you have acquired.

The LTD's or Limited Editions came with solid colour hull & deck, custom buckskin coloured interiors and special graphics. The '96 was properly known as the Mariah 200 Shabah (LTD). If you have one of the Mariah brochures you can see a number of pictures of LTD versions and your particular boat was shown in the 1996 brochure. I suspect the Ruby Red was the most popular colour.

I have the same boat you do. Bought it new in 96, yours is the first one that I have seen like it. 5.7 carbed, but I got tired of it, so installed muti-port fuel injection on it.
