Mystery water in our Shabah!?!?

So we head out to the lake yesterday and boat is just running amazing! :wink_thumbup: We get having a good time, do some boarding, tubing, etc.... Then before we leave i decide to cruise once around the lake and let her loose. The 350 Mag gets up and going and right as we hit about 55 my wife looks down and yells about some water.... As i look down i notice a bunch of water coming through the carpet next to the ski locker by my feet and just as suddenly it goes back down and is gone.... Long story short I look in the engine cover and there is no water, empty the ski locker and it's bone dry, not even damp. The cooler wasn't leaking, nothing spilled haha. On the trailer i pulled the plug and like 2 drops come out. The bilge works, but never kicked out any water. A close inspection of the hull showed no cracks, holes, damage of any kind. Now we can't figure out for the life of us where the water came from or went after that. Has anyone ever had this happen or have any ideas. Pretty weird. Thanks in advance for any thoughts.:)

Check the rubber tube that feeds your speedomiter behind the dash it may have come loose.

Hey man thats the ticket! Thanks. Looks like it just popped right off. It's still a little loose on there though. Does anyone else have this problem or know of a way to help it stay put?:shakehead:

That brings back memories!

When I took my brand new Talari out for it's shake down cruise, I glanced down to see a large wet spot on the carpet. My brother and I couldn't figure out what in the world happened. We started examing the seam along the rubrail trying to find a hole.

Earlier I had commented about the speedometer not working and the light bulb went off in my head.
Sure enough, they forgot to hook up the speedometer! I pushed the tube in place and it hasn't moved since.

If you can't get yours to stay on, try cutting a little off the end and try again.
