New Mariah 275 Shabah Owner

4 Attachment(s)
Hello all, I just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. I am a new owner of a 1997 Mariah 275 limited Shabah with all the bells and whistles. I was actually in the market for a 22-24' starter boat (being that I have never owned a boat before) but after seeing this one I couldn't pass it by!!! It came with a covered slip and a hoist... I just hope it's not too much boat as a first timer! I look forward to reading and sharing more on here... great resource!

Welcome and congratulations on the boat!

These are great solid crafts! Just get used to it (practice in open water, etc) and you'll be fine on the handling side. there is a lot of info about boat handling buried in the forums, just search.

This forum has a fantastic following and response rate. Ask anything and you'll get an answer. Some time quite comical - it can be like the Car Talk brothers at times.

Oh yeah - I came across a stranded boater who had his young family aboard. 2nd time out on a brand new Formula bowrider. The boat just stalls and wouldn't run. So I said - put your anchor out while you wait for the tow boat as I suggested they call the marina where they came from and purchased the boat. Well - no anchor. Doh... Remember all the safety equipment!

Have fun, enjoy and boat safely!!! :wink_thumbup:

Congrats and welcome. I've been eyeing getting one of those so I'm having a little envy going on right now. :wink_thumbup:
