What is this?

There are two of these on top of each other about 10 inches between them one on top of the other. They are on driver side rear. Would like to know what they are used for? Your input appreciated, Silly question but new to boating.

Re: What is this?
Can you explain more what you mean by rear? If they're close to the helm, my first thought was CB radio mic holder.

Re: What is this?
If they ae on the outside of your boat.....might be for holding your fenders.

Re: What is this?
Hmm, interesting mystery. The only thing I can think I've seen attached to a boat in that area is a bait bag but that doesn't seem right either.

Re: What is this?
You should ask the previous owner, looks like they did this to attach something.
This is not a standard fixture that I am aware of. |
Re: What is this?
shorepower cord holder? maybe a trolling motor attachment or some other sort of fishing tool? What's odd is that it's only on the starboard side. It doesn't seem to be OEM, since I can't find another 225 Davanti with those... However a quick way to check if it's factory is to look on the opposite of the mounting point (inside the engine compartment) and see if it's got an aluminum backing plate. if so, that's factory, but i've never seen anything like that before.

Re: What is this?
Down rigger attachment brackets, just to hold bait down deep?
