Prestige was original equipment with Mariah boats so they would be of very good quality. Prestige trailers were the equivalent of the Chariot trailers that Mariah originally supplied with their boats.

Prestige trailers are very good, and MikeyT's got the history correct. Chariot Marine Fabricators was a company owned by Mariah and custom built all the trailers for their boats. When they went out of business in 1998, Prestige became the OEM trailer supplier for Mariah, and they were custom built to fit the Mariahs. So yep, it's a good trailer!

As far as the electric brakes go, as long as they've been maintained, and you have a vehicle with electric brake capability, I'm sure you'll be very happy.

Re: prestige trailer W/Electric brakes

Just bought a 2001 Mariah with a nice Prestige trailer. Brakes work very well, couldn't navigate the lake roads without them! Very tricky to back up a hill due to the brakes, though. The dealership recommended draining the fluid if we had trouble with that so that they would not hinder the back up, but we have not had to do that so far.
