Hi guys dont know a whole lot about mariah but I could not pass this deal up. It is 1999 182 with a 4.3 L . It also has 45 hrs on it,I paid 7,900.00 with the matching trailer was that a good deal:confused: The only thing I found wrong with it is the horn does not work. :confused:I can not find the darn thing any tips. Thanks guys Mark

I'd say it's a great deal. 45 hours? I put that on in one season...

On mine the horn is located under the drivers console. It's likely just a electrical connection. Trace the leads back to the terminal block and the switch and wiggle them to make sure they are making proper contact.

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome to the board Mark! Good to see another Ohio boater on here, so far there's 3 of us. I'd say you got a steal on your boat, especially with such low hours. Plus, the 4.3L is a great efficient performance engine. Won't be too tough on the pocketbook at the fuel dock. Post some pics when you can, we all enjoy admiring each other's boats. :)

Z202's right, most of the electrically operated parts on the boat don't fail, for some reason, the connections get corroded. 95% of the time, if you find the wires, disconnect them and clean the contacts, and reconnect them, it'll work. For some reason Mariah didn't seal the connectors very well and if any moisture gets in, it'll corrode the contacts in no time at all. So start there, and if you still can't get it to work, we'll help you get it fixed.
