2000 Shabah 202 Owner

I'm a new 202 Shabah owner and was wondering how to get certain info. First how do I know if I have a Z or regular. I just bought this from a friend of mine who NEVER used it. He purchased in 2002 and it was repo'd. It only had about 4 hours on it. Today it sits with 28hrs. He didn't have anything but keys and Arizona title.Title doesn't have much info but make and model. I've tried to research by HIN but there's not very much info out there. Very nice looking boat and I can't wait to get it on the water.

Oh yea, I also want to replace the prop. Last time last owner took it out, he caught a cable at the marina. Prop isn't that bad, but ruined the plastic insert. I already have the insert. Just looking for good advice on what prop to run. Mercury 5.7L engine. Thanks, Gabe

Welcome from Iowa.
From what I have seen in the gallery, if you have a driver's windshield wiper it is a Z model. If you don't, it is not a Z. There are other differences, but the wiper seems to be the easiest indicator.
There are Owner's Manuals and Brochures available if you become a paid member. The folks running this forum seem to be very helpfull & happy to help out a fellow Mariah owner.

The "Z" package included special graphics/colors, SS docking lights, windshield wiper (as IowaWing pointed out), defogger, power antenna, power engine hatch, power seat, power telescopic stern light, transom light, engine compartment lights, electronic compass, "indy" style gas cap, and extra courtesy lights.

I may be missing something in there, but that gives you enough to find out if you have the Z or not. I believe many of these items were available as separate options as well, so you'd have to make sure it has all of them.

As for the prop, what was originally on it? I'd try a 21 pitch to start with (probably about 14.5" dia). It's hard to know without testing the performance on a known size. You need to match up the revs and hole shot to your likings, but this prop will give you something to start with.

Also the Z packages came with breaker panel instead of fuses
