cleaning interior
Does anyone know of a good cleaner for the upholstry in the boat? Mainly the embroided letters on the seats. I thought you could mix bleach and water, but I heard that is a bad idea. I also thought about simple green, but still unsure. Any suggestions?

Re: cleaning interior
Jeff - Nice boat. The best cleaner is called "Magic Eraser" which you can find at any supermarket. These things are amazing!

Re: cleaning interior
Will it make the white parts a little cleaner looking? really wanting to clean those letters up on the bench in the back. I will have to check that magic eraser out, I have heard of it but I thought it was a bar.

Re: cleaning interior
Jeff - You are right, the Magic Eraser is kind if like a bar or sponge that you add water to and clean with. My boat is a 2000 Shabah 180 that I bought in November, very similar to yours. I read about this cleaner on another thread and used it on my entire interior, including the logo stitching. Excellent results, save for a couple of small stains it did not entirely eliminate. I used it on the dashboard also and it worked well. I will try post a picture of my boat"s cleaned up interior. Can't seem to get it to work right now.

Re: cleaning interior
Hey guys
Magic Eracer is AWSOME but only use when needed it is like using a light grit sandpapper on your interior. Have a great weekend. |

Here is a picture of my cleaned up interior after using Magic Eraser. I agree with the previous post though, use a vinyl treatment after the Magic Eraser to keep the interior supple. I hear the 3M products are excellent.

Re: cleaning interior
Will definitely give that a shot, now all I have to do is figure out something to color in the few sun spots on the dash and I am good to go.
