Running very bad need help
 

I have just bought a 1995 220 talari and took it out for a ride drove about 15 min then stalled out had it towed back the weber carb was flooding out took that off pulled it apart found that the floats were about one inch of specs put it back together started up out of water and it seemed to run fine and it idled fine took it back down to the river and started to take ride up the river top speed at full throtle was 8 mph according to gps drove for about30 min started haveing a miss of and on shut it off for about 1 hr then tried to start it seemed to be flooding out again so all the way back out 8 mph we got about 1/4 from dock and the boat just got up on plane and started to build up speed 28 plus dont understand whats going on also did drain the water filter did not notcie any water I will be ordering a carb rebuild kit and should i be checking other things also like plugs
Carb is a weber 9665s any info on this. 5.7 engine

I had the same problem with mine, rebuilt it 2x, got towed back 3x. Installed multi port fuel injection on my 5.7, have not had a problem since.
