Happy to be back

:wink_thumbup:Hello Mariah Owners Club members!

I have been offline for about a year, and in that time have had a variety of experiences with our 1996 Mariah Shabah 180. Several repairs (new starter assembly, battery, steering cable and helm replacement, alignment and adjustment of the stern drive, transom bearing assembly, cross and bearing assembly, bell housing and flywheel assembly servicing, and some electrical system repairs etc.) gave us a great summer on the lake with almost no problems.

We learned a lot about boats and engines and parts (and are still learning), and then something unexpected happened. Just when we were thinking that we'd probably have the '96 for several more years, our neighbor decided to sell his Mariah, a 1997 Shabah 180SE that is in mint condition! Of course, we couldn't let this opportunity pass, so we bought it!

It's pretty amazing, that on a stretch of road that is about 1/4 mile long, 3 of us owned Mariahs!

So, long story short, the new(er) Mariah is safely stored indoors at the marina, ours just sold today, and all is good with the world.

I would welcome any of the Club members who own this 1997 model to contact me with any tips, etc. since you guys and girls are such stores of information and knowledge, and basically, rock!
Hope you're all having a beautiful fall.

Take care,
Jan

Thanks WW,
The boat is in storage right now, so we'll have to wait until Spring '10 for the pics. This will actually be the first winter that I'm not thinking about repairs and renovations on the boat; it's a nice feeling.
