That should be your depth finder pickup, Mines not glued down anymore either, yet it still works, I'll add it to the winter to do list.

Wow ! I would of never guessed that! Where exactly should it be glued? I'm assuming under the engine somewhere......

Do you know where the water sensing switch for the bilge pump is located? My pump doesn't seem to kick in automatically...The pump is raised on a small pad as well. It takes a fare amount of water to go in before it can pick it up. The pump works when I flip the switch to "ON". Again, maybe I never had enough water in the boat for the pump to kick on due to it sitting higher.

I had the boat in at the dealer, they replaced all 3 bellows. The bearing was good as so was the U joints. They still charged me $1000.00...I don't call them dealers, I call them stealers....I will become a member and get the shop manual for this boat, I am not paying anymore to get it fixed...

The float switch is like a flat finger that is part of the bilge pump. Mine was broken so I replaced the pump with one without a switch as the boat never stays in the water for extended times. The ones with floats are not that much more expensive, but I didn't expect to need it much, which has been the case once we got our bellows replaced.

Thanks man ! I was looking for a separate float loacated away from the pump itself. I guess I never had enough water in the boat for it to kick in. I just got all 3 bellows replaced. $1000 later ! Ouch...

I agree wholeheartedly with you about the "stealerships". I had $1300 worth of work done at one, and ended up fixing their mistakes a week later.
Also wanted to pass a website along for you.
http://www.mercstuff.com/
Great source for info, instruction and of course those special tools that all manufacturers love to sell us.
Good luck

Thansk man ! I have already been to that website and printed a bunch of stuff. I also printed the entire book on the stern drive out of here. I printed it both sides at work with our laser printer. I'ts almost 3 inches thick! That's my bible. I wish the entire book for the 5.0 L was in here. Unfortunately, there is only a couple chapters.
