1996 Shabah 180 3.0 top speed?
 

With a 19p 3 prop, what should I expect. is this a good setup or is there any good recommendations:wink_thumbup:?

The '96 brochure lists the 3.0L equipped model at 40-46mph.

Before Big Red, I captained a Crownline 176 BR with a 3.0 LX. Her name was Little Smoke. With the 19P she was at the top end of the rev range, so I upped her to a 21P. Either way the speedo was reading about 45 at WOT with two people on board.

Was out today with a working speedometer and GPS verification as well. Had 5 of us in the boat, wife, 2 kids and one neice, all together maybe 500lbs. calm waters, at WOT was 4400 and was able to hit 37mph, how does that sound?:eek_animated:

Taking the age of the motor into consideration, and dependent on the prop, I'd say that's pretty darn good for what it is. I can only get 32 mph out of my 3.0 182 shabah, seems to hit that mark regardless of the weight.
