About time.............

So I have decided to bite the bullet and purchase a recently rebuilt 502 Mag MPI for my 1999 Z302 Red Limited Edition and am in the process of getting it all back together to drop in over the next couple of weeks.

Here are a few pic's of the beauty.

Does anybody know where I can get a set of Corsa diverters with the correct offset for my Z302? What about Corsa oval thru hull tips?

I found these on ebay for $675 from Moore Performance out of Cali. Anybody run into the problem with not being able to find the correct diverters before? These look like they would work but am not sure if there is enough space to fit the diverter and the correct amount of tubing to get them to go where they need to be.

I also found a set of Lightning headers for $300 on Craigslist and need to be powder coated but my plan is to have them done the same color as the Intake/Plenum.

Nice looking drop-in there... :drooling smiley:

Not sure about the install on 308, but there are a bunch of threads here on purchasing and installing Corsa systems. A forum search should net you a handful of them.

That sure is a pretty engine! Like Z 202 said, there's lots of info on the corsa setup here on the board. Just don't cheap out and buy something you're not sure will work. It may cost a little more, but try and get the OEM setup, it'll look the best and perform the best.

Keep us updated on your progress!

Do you think that would fit in my 182? Really, who "needs" a back seat?

Re: About time.............

Yes this engine would probably fit in a 18' Mariah because I was going to buy a complete low hour 502 Mag MPI / Bravo 1 setup that came with a free 18' VIP boat from a guy in Miami. He wanted 8K for the entire setup and that also included a set of Stainless Marine manifolds as well as diverters. If anybody is interested you can find it by searching on Miami's Craigslist under 502 MPI.

It has been a productive weekend for the Mariah but still have a big hurdle to get over and that is exhaust routing. Here are a few pictures of my progress. I will be working on the exhaust issue this week and then hopefully have the boat inthe water next weekend to start with the breakin' in of the motor.

After many, many hours working with 4" drainage PVC pipe I finally have my offset pipe being made up at a local Stainless Fabricator in Jacksonville (great place if anybody needs custom stainless work done). I hopefully will be getting it back on Friday and then installing it over the weekend. It was alot of work getting the offset correct due to the fact that I was using Lightning Headers with straight tailpipes and had to position it up and outward in a very short distance.

I also installed half my sound system while waiting for the pipes to get finished. I am going with my old CDM3 Clarion marine head unit, Sirius satellite, Rockford Fosgate Power T8004, BD1001 mono amp, 3 pair JL Audio M770-CCS, 3 pair Skylon 6.5". I am still not sure about the subwoofers but am leaning towards 2 12" Wetsounds XXX mounted in rear seat that I will turn into a sealed enclosure. I mounted the amps to a large piece of Starboard up under the port side cabin storage location and when finished will look really trick.

Many things left on my list but I hope to be wrapping things up over this upcoming weekend and have the boat in the water by the following weekend.
