Mesh (netting) behind the chairs and in the bow area
I've scoured the forums, but I can't find mention of these trash/whatever holders that obviously are all stretched out over time. Anyone know where to get replacement for it? Or have a clever idea of what to use instead?

Re: Mesh (netting) behind the chairs and in the bow area
Hi 1999Mariah,
I am in the process of reviving mine on the seat backs and when I'm finished, it'll be posted in the "How-To" section. I'll give you a little hint, "New Elastic". WetWilly |

Went ahead and did this quick repair, looks 100% better!
Left chair is a before - Right chair is an after - Good call WW:yes_grin: http://joinleadingedge.com/temppics/mesh.JPG On a side note, what's this black do-dad? http://joinleadingedge.com/temppics/what.JPG |

The seat mesh repair looks great. :wink_thumbup:
The black "do-dad" is the vent for the gas tank. |
Re: Mesh (netting) behind the chairs and in the bow area
Ahhh...gas vent! makes sense! - Yeah inside it's connected to a tube that runs by the motor and through under the center of the hull. So where's the gas tank located?

Yep, I've got one of those do-dads and yep, if I don't slow down the pump when nearing full, fuel will slosh out of it when the pump clicks off.

Gas tank is under the floor between the engine compartment and the ski locker |

Re: Mesh (netting) behind the chairs and in the bow area
Need more details!
Are you just replacing elastic across the top of the netting? Where did you get the elastic? Is it a pretty simple procedure? |
Re: Mesh (netting) behind the chairs and in the bow area
Yep, very simple, about 5 minutes per chair.
Items needed: - 1 inch wide elastic strips from Wal-Mart ($2 a pack, probably need 1 to 2, you'll find these in the fabric section) - Scissors - Phillips Screw Driver 1. Take just the top left and right screw of of the chair to get at the top of the netting. 2. On mine the elastic band (no elasticity left) was partially sewn into the net, so I cut a quarter inch off both sides to release the elastic. 3. Safety pin the new elastic strip to the old one, pull the old one through as it pulls the new elastic in place. 4. Then screw in one side (left or right) putting the screw through the netting+new elastic 5. Pull the the other side as taut as you'd like, and screw through the netting+new elastic on that side, then cut the excess. All done - looks great!:wink_thumbup: |
Re: Mesh (netting) behind the chairs and in the bow area
Can anyone help me find out how to remove the raised side panels in the cockpit? The upholstery is worn on the ends and I want to replace it myself.
