Replacement battery for '99 Z222 Shabah?
 

I have a 1999 Mariah Z222 Shabah with a 1999 Mercruiser 250 hp 5.7L V8 engine. The battery that came with the boat is dead (or close enough to it), and I'm not even sure it was a good match to begin with. What would have come with the boat originally? Any info on CCA, MCA, reserve time, etc.?

my original set up used two Trojan deep cycles. Currently I'm using mercruiser batteries which work fine. I still have the trojan batteries and can check the specs next weekend unless some one else knows

Is it a MPI engine? Last year when I was in the shop, I got a copy of a memo that said Mercruiser now recommends a minimum 750cca battery for use with the MPI system.

I went to the local wal-mart and bought two Everstart Marine batteries (group 29). $79 each, and a replacement warranty! At that price you can't go wrong. :wink_thumbup:
