How do I identify the cylinder numbers on a 5.7 EFI?

Hi All,

Is there an easy way, or reference somewhere, to identify which cylinder is which on my 5.7L EFI (350 MAG MPI MIE (GEN+) GM 350 V-8 1998).

I want to check that the HT leads have been replaced correctly. I know the firing order, but have drawn a blank on identifying the cylinder numbering. Seems to vary per manufacturer but have been unable to find the Merc standard.

Hope you can help,

Steve.

the numbers are often cast into the intake manifold

Thanks for that, will take a look - also a good reply by launchpad on another thread for anyone else that is trying to do this
