Advice

Im new to the mariahs. Thinking of buying one and would like to see what you guys thought. Its a 1997 jubilee with the 4.3l engine duo props. It has 400 hours on it. The boat comes with a trailer. It looks as thou all it need is a little cleaning up. It does need some minor love. It is missing the front ladder.

Welcome to the board brucedennis1!

I'd have it checked out with a local mechanic, and definitely take it on a sea trial first. If everything runs smooth and everything works, go for it! Cleaning it up is easy, we all do that! I'm sure with some free time, some high quality cleaners, and a little elbow grease, you'll have that baby sparkling like it was brand new. There's all kinds of advice on cleaning products on the site!

As far as the front ladder goes, those were made in-house as far as I know, so finding a replacement might be a little bit of a challenge, but as long as you've got a functioning ladder elsewhere on the boat, it shouldn't be an issue!

Let us know how it turns out! :wink_thumbup:

Re: Advice

Bought our last year. Love it. Mine was pretty clean and engine was recently tuned and had new oil, lower unit maintenance. This year we'll do tune up, new fuel filters, etc. Don't have a front ladder on mine. Don't need it. Actually don't want it. It gives me more control over the kids!!! Good luck!
