Silent Choice
 

Ok, so I bought a Silent choice from a Mercury guy on Ebay. I got the whole kit including the tips that come out the back of the transom but where the motor sits it looks like I am not going to be able to put them there. I have noticed some of the Mariah's have the tips coming out of the back but I was looking at the hidden but loud location next to the out drive. Is there a special flexibal 4" pipe or one that is made to locate the pipe over a little. The drill location for the small block is the prime location but the 502 is wider and puts the holes in the curved area of the transom. If anyone has any answers please let me know... Thanks, Jas

HEY JAS, I'M DOING THE SAME THING. HERES HOW IT GOES. FOR 2000.00 CORSA CAN MAKE THE WHOLE THING UP FOR YOU. THE TIPS YOU HAVE, ARE THEY THE 70 DEGREE OVAL DESIGN FROM CORSA? I DIDNT SEE THEM ON EBAY, CORSA WAS THE O.E. SUPPLIER FOR MARIAH. IF NOT THEY WILL BE POINTING UP IN THE AIR. YOU WILL NEED TO DESIGN AN OFFSET TO GET TO WHERE THE TIPS BELONG WHICH IS IN THE CURVED PART OF THE TRANSOM, AND NOT IN LINE WITH THE DIVERTERS. I HAD FOUND SOME OTHER HELPFULL ADVICE ON THIS SITE INCLUDING PICS. CORSAS KIT IS WELDED STAINLESS WITH AN OFFSET, AND CUSTOM OVAL TIPS, ALL HOSES CLAMPS, NUTS BOLTS, ETC. I AM GOING TO HAVE CORSA SEND ME THE TIPS ONLY, AND I'M GONNA TRY TO USE 4" HARDWALL EXHAUST HOSE FROM THE DIVERTER TO THE TRANSOM. EMAIL ME AND I'LL SEND YOU A FEW PICS OF MARIAH OFFSET EXHAUST.
