DASH repaint or dye?
Anyone know how I can refurbish my dash? It has some fading to it and I would like to get it back to like new. Thanks!

Re: DASH repaint or dye?
I used a fine polishing compound on mine to get rid of the oxidation then Armour-all (or a similar protectorant) to give it the new look. Didn't have to consider paint or dye and it came up looking decent.

Re: DASH repaint or dye?
I did something similar. Use the Mr. Clean magic erasers and then hit it with liberal coats of Meguiars vinyl cleaner/protector. Granted, mine is white, but it looked several shades brighter when I was done.

Re: DASH repaint or dye?
What brand of polishing compound did you use? I have the same problem with my 2001 Shabah.

Re: DASH repaint or dye?
I used a Turtle Wax polishing compound & scratch remover but i would think just about any good finishing compound would work.

Re: DASH repaint or dye?
Is it a molded plastic dash? If it is,there was a time where we just painted the black plastic. Then later on we used plastic sheets already colored to match the interior. If it is a painted dash, any automotive interior paint will do.If not,the tips already posted will do the job.Hope this helps....Bob.
