Your boat weighs 4150lbs unloaded. Gasoline weighs 6lbs per gallon, and you've got a 76 gallon tank. So you're around 456lbs there, plus all your coast guard equipment, batteries, watersports stuff, coolers, etc. Easily figure about 4700lbs for a loaded boat. Trailer weight should be listed on the manufacturing plate, my 25' venture steel trailer weighs 1700lbs, so yours should be less. If you're tow vehicle shopping, check out something with around a 6500lb or higher towing rating.

Hope this helps!

Finding total weight

I think Chris is about right on these numbers. I haul my rig to the local grain elevator and unhitch it on the scale. This really gives you an accurate number. Many people underestimate outfit weights. Hauling fuel empty or fuel full obviously affects the numbers.

You might also try your local recycling center or rock quarry for access to a drive-on scale. I've been to both in my area and they were free!!
One tip: if the scale is busy, (like the quarry with non-stop loaded dump trucks), I pulled my my whole rig, SUV, boat and trailer onto the scale to get my gross weight. I then pulled off to an out of the way spot and unhitched the boat, got back in the line and weighed just the SUV.
This way I can calculate my towed weight, but more importantly, see were my gross weight compares to my vehicles GCVWR - Gross Combined Vehicle Weight Rating.
I was surprised how little wiggle room I had for extra stuff before I would exceed that number!
If you can find a scale, use it!
