Jubilee Deck Boat Owners

I have a 2001 21 ft Jubilee deck boat. I have a bilge blower problem. I tested the blower motor and it seems fine. My next step is to determine if the dashboard switch is bad; then, maybe there is a fuse problem or a short.

My question is: How does one remove the blower switch without damaging the woodgrain cover? Is there an easier way to access the circuit board...it's very difficult to reach.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

J Scott

Hi J Scott,

Don't know if you received my PM so here goes again...

If your switches are the same as mine, they are held in by plastic clips at the top and bottom of the switch case and pop out from the from front. Be cautious with your dash, I've heard the the woodgrain dashes can get brittle with age and can crack so if you can get to the backside, you should be able to squeeze the clips and push the switch out otherwise, use a wide but thin flat blade screwdriver and place some thin cardboard against the dash to protect it from scratches and gently pry the switch up and out. If it won't budge, stop and let me know so we can figure out something else.

Here is a link to the type of switches you should have, click here, Look closely at the pictures of the switch bodies and you'll see the plastic retaining clips molded into the body at the top and bottom I was referring to.

Good luck,
WetWilly
