It would help if you could tell us what size motor and model of outdrive it has.

Do you have any have any information on this Mariah's history, maintenance records, what type of water it was used in (fresh or salt water?), previous repairs and thing like that?

If you are not familiar with checking boats and their equipment out, I strongly suggest to seek professional assistance in your area.

Good luck,

Now I assume you mean the REV meter on the dash, we call it a Tach (short for Tachometer). We use it to make sure we do not over rev our motors and to see where the best rpm for mileage and performance are.

If it is not working it, first check is it have power (12Volts) going to it and the ground is good. If both check out, it could be due to corrosion with the "selector" switch. It is a small round dial located on the back side. Mark it's current setting then try and turn it back and forth several times and see if this helps. If you think that the REV (Tach) is still broken, you can see about sending it back to Faria (the maker) as it have a life time warranty on it. you can contact Faria here:

To submit a Warranty Claim, go to our website; www.faria- instruments.com/warranty.php, select “Place a warranty claim here” and complete the form. If you have questions call Faria® Customer Service at 1-800-473-2742 weekdays 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. One of our
Marine Applications Specialists will review the problem with you in detail.
