Default engine hatch

Have a new to me 1994 212Z Batteries are dead don't how to get electric hatch open to get at batteries. Please help!!!

    See if you can lift it up enough to get your hand in there to take the pin(s) out of the actuator(s). If not you could always hook a battery up to the switch to activate it seperately.

    If you can get enough room to pull the back seats forward. Make sure the area in front of the seats is clear. They are hinged and heavy so be careful to guide them down.

    Once seats are pulled forward, you can access the pins under the hatch. You may need to jimmy the hatch a little to get the pins out. Note there is a smallball bearing that needs to compress when pulling out the pins. You only need to pull the upper pins out.

    When the pins are removed from both sides, use a couple 2x4's or something the hold the hatch in the up position. Maintain equal support to both sides of the hatch. Then you can trouble shoot the wiring issue

    One of my actuators is not working and I have not found a wiring fix yet. It would be great if you can add information to this thread when you get the wiring fixed.
