Looking to buy 1997 Mariah 180 SE Shabah

Hey guys, new here and I came across this boat for sale. Price looks a little high to me (it's in CAD). Wanted to get your opinions on her as well as parts availability. I know they don't make them anymore but I saw the link page for parts, is it fairly easy to get replacement parts? (beside for the engine and stern drive i mean).

So I just looked through the gallery for 1997 180SE Shabah's and the back seats are much nicer on all the ones in the gallery compared to the one posted above. Is it not an SE? Or is the year wrong?

Yes, its a 1997 and it appears to be an 'SE'. Seating came in 3 different configurations so there is nothing unusual about the one you are looking at. As for the price, Cdn used boat prices are a bit high over the last couple of years but unless that vendor wants to store his boat over the winter, he will be flexible in his selling price.

Interior trim pieces are hard to find, windshields are nearly impossible, mechanical parts are still readily available.

Since it sounds like you know little about Mariah boats, you might want to read this buyers guide

Thanks for the response, and I did have a read through that buyers guide. By mechanical parts being readily available are you referring to the drive train solely or would that include items like a new steering cable, bilge equipment etc. ? I would think as long as all the trim pieces are there they could be repaired for the most part, the windshield is another matter, custom glass is expensive.

If he would be willing to go down to 10k and the boat test drives well i might officially join your club!

Looking forward to more feed back about the availability of mechanical parts and on repairing trim pieces and anything else you fellas think i should watch out for when i go see the boat in person.

Repairing vs replacing depends on the part involved and the costs. There are no 'new' trim pieces available so anything you buy will be used only.

Mechanical means anything mechanical including cables etc. They are all still readily available.

If you are on Facebook, there are two Mariah Owners groups there that are considerably more active than this forum.
