5.0 omc 1993 alternator

Hey guys I have now owned my boat for 1 week I bought it with a broken Alternator belt. The one on it was a 41" green belt I replaced it with the same one and the first time out it snapped. Does anyone have a picture of theirs I believe its supposed to be a 40" belt and might have ribs on it. its on a OMC COBRA 5.0 1993 model please help thanks.

Probably something causing the break, like a bad pulley. check each one carefully for rust or nicks.
