Custom cover
 

I'm having a custom snap cover made. My boat is a 1997 Shabah 180 se. Is your cover 1 piece or 2? Trying to decide. There are no existing snaps, its never had a cover so if got a blank canvas. Thanks

I had a custom one made as well but I had existing snaps. Mine is 2 piece. One for the bow and then another for the rest; starting from the bottom of the windshield to the back just past the sun pad. I can dig up some pictures if you'd like. Mine is a 98 Shabah 202

Word of caution. Since you're starting with a blank slate make sure your cover goes OVER your air vents in the back. Sadly my snaps were above the vent cover and I didn't know any better at the time. If I leave it sitting out in the rain, the water will roll down the cover and go directly into the vents and fill the bilge. If I were to do it again, I'd have them put new snaps below the vents so I could snap over them.

Luckily mine doesn't sit outside much; only when I get it out of storage and get it prepped to go onto the covered lift for the year.

Oh, a perk of having a 2 piece is during cooler days you can leave the bow cover on (with the walkthrough window closed) and it'll block the wind rolling through your boat to an extent. Super handy.

++1 for the 2 piece cover. Mine has snaps / velcro and a zipper where they join together at the base of the windshield. A 1 piece cover is only good for the boat sitting in storage or at the dock.
