Memorial Day Weekend - Official Kickoff
 

Well, it's sort of the unofficial kickoff in the midwest anyway. I'm sure others out there have already been out for a while.

Sunny and high of 68 here which is unusual. Typically we are sitting in the 80s. Still planning on making the most of it.

Who else is making it out today?

I love the enthusiasm!! It's ramped up here in Southern Colorado too! Campsites are booked and the lakes are relatively full. Weather not particularly cooperating this weekend but doesn't seem to be effecting people wanted to get out.
Personally, we stay away on these busy weekends. The crowds make it too chaotic. Ever since last seasons hysteria the state park we frequent can close due to over capacity i.e. no parking available even if your boat is slipped in one of the marinas. I will add though some of the more entertaining scenarios unfold on these holiday weekends. Last 4th of July there were multiple top less gals wrestling on one of those massive Lilly pads. It was entertaining for sure!
