Engine Hatch Strap Replacement
 

On my 1995 Barchetta, the straps that hold the engine hatch down are broken. It was basically a vinyl strap with a snap on the end. The prior owner just jury-rigged a rope system to tie it down, but it's not very convenient or reliable. Does anyone know if you can buy something like that anywhere or any easy ideas on how to create a replacement? I can post pictures of the existing straps if needed.
