1999 Mariah Shabah 182 red limited edition

Hi guys! I inherited a fixer upper Mariah. I’m trying to find if it is worth fixing! I am uneducated in boats and their worth. Is this 99 Mariah shabah 182 limted edition a rare boat? Is it something worth putting 7-8k into? It’s all red, motors ceased, interiors shot!

There isn't many of those boats out there but boat "rarity" really doesn't mean much if anything. It probably isn't worth spending $8k but it depends whether there is any sentimental value in it for you. And... if it hasn't been taken care of, you will likely find additional problems (electrical, floor rot etc) that will bump that cost higher. It should be worth $8 - $10k if fully restored.

Yes, the original Mariah company shut down in 2001 & the name was sold to Sea-Fox who started producing their version of a Mariah boat in 2003 & they lasted until about 2012. The theory was that Sea-Fox sold the Mariah name to Dorel Boats in Quebec back in 2014-2015 but it hasn't and wont likely be revived as Dorel went bankrupt about 2-3 yrs later. Even if it was it would be a completely different boat just as the Sea-Fox version was different to the original Mariah.
