Well if they had it and didn't recommend you put in a new pump and fluid they should have. Hopefully they did do that as minimum maintenance on a drive of unknown service history.

Looking at the detail of the rebuild they replaced the stern drive pump and fluid.

Turns out they did not rebuild the carburetor. It ran pretty rough at slower cruising speed.

Also, the ear splitting engine warning bell was constantly going off ruining the serenity. Even with the engine off and the key turn to turn on the electrical power it starts to go off. No clue what it could be. Hopefully just a bad sensor.

So back at the marina for a $380 carburetor rebuild and diagnosis of the warning bell.

It is so fun having a boat for those minutes they run smoothly.
