Instrument panel removal

Hi everyone,
The Fuel Gauge on my Mariah Z225 has started to get a little random.
Also, what ever mechanism is supposed to hold it in place has failed and the gauge is flapping about.
I can find a replacement easily enough, but I can’t work out how to remove the Instrument panel.
I found the rear access panel in the Cuddy, but I need to be able to remove the complete assembly to repair the fixings.
There are 4 fixing screws on the front, bu t removing these still leaves the panel firmly attached.

Any suggestions welcomed.

A photo of your dash would have been helpful. Normally those fuel gauges are held in place with a bracket on the backside of the gauge and that bracket should have been visible thru your cuddy access. Just a reminder that your boat is now 25 yrs old and the plastic parts etc that hold the dash assembly in place have likely gotten a bit brittle. Removal will likely result in broken tabs.

You should be able to see the bracket in the attached pic.
