Having a swim platform installed

About three weeks ago I towed my Mariah Z222 350 miles over to Phoenix to Swim Platforms Inc. to have a swim platform installed on it. I’m excited to get back out there and pick it up see how it looks. I’ll try to figure out how to post pictures so you guys can see how it turned out.

Money well spent! You will really enjoy having that on the back. We love ours. I cant think of anything different we would have done with the platform.

I’m jealous. That looks great. Do you mind sharing the total cost of this?

Re: Having a swim platform installed

I ended up getting kind of a special deal. I sent an email requesting a quote, and received a quote of $1400. Then the crating and shipping was about another 300 so the total would have been 1700 and I would have to install it. I got pretty nervous thinking of drilling holes in my boat, then I received a call from the owner, I guess he was the owner, asking me if I would tow my boat to Phoenix. He said he would make me a deal if I would tow over there as he needed a better template for the Mariah Z222. He offered to build me a custom swim step and install it for $1300. I jumped on it, and I’m glad I did. It is killer, can’t wait to try it out. It was a long haul 700 miles round-trip, twice, 1400 miles total. But my wife’s bro lives 30 miles from their shop so she got to visit twice in 30 days as I had to leave in a month. It was worth it tho and I’m thrilled. I would highly recommend these guys.

I'm waiting on my platform to arrive. Should be here in a few weeks!

I can’t wait to try mine. It’s warm now but we might have another cold snap and I don’t want to have to winterize the boat again, so I guess I’ll wait.

Whoa, looks great Bodog! I really am wanting to get one for my Z280 incredibly bad. But towing to Phoenix may bankrupt me :) 1822 miles one way with a V10 and 10mpg... :( Maybe next year I'll order one. Yours looks awesome!

The weather‘s been crappy, windy and cool. Still waiting to get down to try it out, it’s killing me. LOL
