Advice Needed. 1998 Z212 Shabah
 

First time poster... I live in Canada and came across a Z212
For sale. After a sea trial it seems mechanically sound. Fresh water only. As it was in water I couldn't check the bellows or stern drive fluid and external condition. Hours total 216 on the 5.0 EFI merc. Other than a few minor electrical gremlins that they said they will fix. Any idea on a fair price or any advice on what to look out for? They are asking 13,800 CDN. Who's may be a tad high as it needs some upholstery work and no trailer.

Well if the exchange rate is 0.77 that puts you at about $10,700 US. I would start with NADA boats. Make sure you select the correct options that are on this Z model. Then check your local market. This feels a bit high, but I don't know if it has captain's call, wake tower, 2500 watt stereo, etc. Used trailer will cost at least $800 US for anything good.

No captains call exhaust. Or any extras other than a decent CD player. He hull is in good shape the bo and stern upholstery needs repair which is to be expected. I think 10-11k cdn is fair. Based on a mechanical overview.
