New Classic Mariah Owner Woohoo !

Hi folks!

I am now the proud owner of a Prestine 1997 Talari 219Z . Powerplant is a 5.7L 350 Mag Thunderbolt VI with a Bravo 3 twin triple blade stainless Prop. By prestine I mean 273 hrs prestine ...

I upgraded from a 1996 FourWinns 170 DLX with a 130 Evinrude outboard. It was a great boat just not big enough for the size of Lake I spend my usual time on .

I am currently going through the tune up work with the dealer as it has sat in storage for a number of years ... such as rebuilding the 4 barrel Weber carb Etc ... I am awaiting prob a week or so yet until I get to put her in the water . I am also getting Nautica Smart Tabs installed.

I did some research and seem to conclude the prop horsepower @ 250 ???
I could be wrong ...
Im curious to see what she will do flat out with just me and some gear in it ? The wife prefers not to be in the boat at W.O.T. lol

Opinions have varied from 50-60 mph ...

My FourWinns with a standard 17.5 pitch 3 blade would long leg at best 46 if the stars were all lined up correctly. Thats on the speedo not GPS.

Anyways I feel lucky to have found such a fine machine . I hope to talk with some of you about our awesome boats and learn a few things as well. Pics to follow on her next life coming up hopefully soon !

Best Regards

Paul

Congrats! I'd expect 50+ mph depending on a lot of factors... let's see some pics!

Just an update cuz since I'm in Canada parts take a bit longer ... carb kit and smart tabs should be in any minute/hour/day ... lol

I went to the shop ... putted around on her ... admired her ... I can't believe the cassette deck ... with holders !!! Hmmm ... time for a USB ... I plan on using my iPad for Nav ... is the depth indicator accurate ? Seems to work with the key on in the shop ... lol

From what I have read the depth gauge can be a bit fickled. Mine works about 1/2 the time. When it works it reads fairly true.
