Cabin sink question on 1994 Mariah 235 Davanti
New Mariah Owner, first time poster here. Just bought a 94 235 Davanti. First time Mariah and cuddy owner. This boat has a sink in the cuddy, appears to be a pump handle on the faucet, but the hose just runs to the storage box underneath. I removed the sink cabinet to further investigate, and the drain looks like it may have just dropped through the floor and inch. Not hooked to anything :-/ Can anyone provide me to any direction how these should be plumbed?
Boats in great shape, just playing with the non essential stuff while i wait for NYS to issue a duplicate title the previous owners lost :( Thanks for any help! |
Re: Cabin sink question on 1994 Mariah 235 Davanti
The sink hose is meant to be hooked up to one of these portable water carrying bags.
http://newcontent.westmarine.com/con...ull/232678.jpg They're available at West Marine, and online at several retailers. The sink drain should be plumbed to a thru-hull fitting to discharge overboard. If this isn't hooked up, find the thru-hull on the outside of your boat, and trace backwards. If there's no hose attached to it, make sure and hook it up properly! |
Re: Cabin sink question on 1994 Mariah 235 Davanti
I thought that was probably how the fresh water worked. But i cant find a thru hull drain, i am assuming it probably drains to the "V" and out to the bilge area, but either way the hose has been cut i without ripping and tearing, i wont know where it goes..... so at this point, i think the sink will make a nice candy dish, at least for now!
Thanks for your help ShabahZ280!! |
