Re: Radio static
Turn the dimmer for the instrument lights to 100% brightness and the static should go away.

Re: Radio static
Not sure if my boat has a dimmer, but I will look.
If it does where will it be located? Thank you for the input |
Re: Radio static
Not sure on your 202 Shabah maybe someone else can chime in. On my Z280 it is a rocker switch on the dash.

Re: Radio static
Don't think the 202s had a dimmer for the dash lighting

Re: Radio static
My 97 Z210 has it beside the blower switch, it's not a rocker but a twist knob. Hope this helps.

Re: Radio static
Kinda hard to see but it's the middle one behind steering wheel. One on left is blower and right one is the anchor or navigation lighting on off switch http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/2016...f489ac9006.png

Re: Radio static
My 202 does not have a dimmer. Sounds like it could be alternator whine since it only does it when the boat is running? Seems like if it was anything else it would have the problem all the time. You can get inline filters for that. Another thing you could do to isolate is run a temporary wire directly to the battery?

Re: Radio static
My 2000 Z202 has a dimmer rocker switch on the left side of the steering wheel.
