New Owner 1996 Talari 191
Just bought a 96 Mariah Talari 191. Was looking for an owners manual to try and figure out all the controls. There are 2 knobs beside my key switch I don't know what they control. Nothing is working except the bilge pump. No lights. Was wondering if there are fuses or a wiring diagram etc. thanks in advance.

Welcome to MOC, I am a new owner myself. It looks like your best bet will be to become a contributing member. That will give you access to the manuals that MOC has on file.
Do you have pics of your new toy? |

How do I become a contributing member?

On the right side of your screen there is an "upgrade your membership" click on that and choose which upgrade you would like.

Anybody have one of these boats that can help? I'd also like to see a bimini top on this boat, it has the one that snaps to the windshield but I don't much care for it. It was a very rough boat, but it was cheap and cleaned up sort of well. I have to re-do the upholstery this fall.

I also would like to find another bucket seat like this one to replace the passenger side with.

Re: New Owner 1996 Talari 191
Very good price and you did a great job cleaning it up. The pics on Photobucket showed that poor Mariah needed a new owner.
Sorry I can't help with Bimini as I only have the original snap on windsheild as well. I thought my interior looked rough but you have me beat. I plan on redoing mine this winter. Should be a fun learning process. |
Re: New Owner 1996 Talari 191
There are plenty of generic tops out there that say they'll fit your boat.
Check the upper gimbal pin for slop. Try rocking the outdrive from side to side. If there's slop, you'll need to do what I'm fixing to do to mine. JR Marine fix. I gotta admit. Mariah made some of the finest looking boats, ever. I haven't seen one yet that looked dated. Like the old Bayliners |
Re: New Owner 1996 Talari 191
Same color combo as my 96 201 Talari. I'll get a picture of mine with the bimini on for you to see.

Thanks I'd appreciate it. Still trying to sort out the wiring, switches and fuses. Nothing is working light wise including the gauge lights.

Man I love your Captains seat ! Mine had the bench style but I changed it to a very nice, after market seat. I'd buy the original, like yours, in a heartbeat.

Re: New Owner 1996 Talari 191
Got everything fixed last night. Found the fuse panel and un screwed it where I could work with it, everything was corroded. I cleaned each fuse with sandpaper and the terminals with a wire brush and everything is working now, blower and all but 1 courtesy light. Got my Navigation lights working but figured out the switch is bad. I have to order one but found the part number in the forum's link to OEM parts. Thanks all for your help.

Thanks a million. Is that a 6 foot long one? Also what height is that one. I love the look of it, thanks again.
