Bimini top

How do you guys store your Bimini tops? The boat cover we have which I assume is the original requires us to remove the top every time.....ugh. And then we just lay it in the boat sideways. This can't be the official way, help me please!

Haha that's how I do it also. I've only had the boat for a few weeks though, but I am planning to replace the fasteners with some sort of quick release pin and clip deal to make it easier.

Unfortunately the brackets and top will have to come off with the factory cover. The top on my boat (202 Shabah) does perfectly fit underneath the engine deck. Normally I don't keep it there but if you are interested and can't figure yours out I could take pic of mine. We keep the brackets and a screw driver in the glove box. Takes less than 5 minutes to get the top on.

On the 180's they lay a ross the opening where the motor is. Above the motor towards the transom. Theres a groove there. Thats the way it is on mine anyway. Not sure on the bigger models

Chick. Someone would be hard pressed to find a sexier boat than your Ferrari Red Mariah. That thing is sweet. I hope you pull it with a F40 or P1 McLaren.

Mine goes inside the engine compartment. Like Hunter stated in a previous post. Under the deck lid there is a "shelf" or ridge just forward of the transom. The top in its cover faces the transom. The support tubes face toward the bow. Would yours fit that way?

Re: Bimini top

What style cover do you have? Full cover that wraps all the way to the midline of the boat or does it button on at the edges of the cockpit and top of windshield?

Debadged EcoBoost or 5.0? Looking to buy here in the next couple months. My 99 5.4 is getting tired of pulling my 5500lb(estimated) Shabah 250. Especially at the elevation we are at. Diesel would be great but $30K for a 10 year old used truck is outrageous.

5.0 , I think an Eco or diesel would be best for your setup. Agreed on the cost of diesels, crazy, but if u get a well taken care of one, worth it.

I think some of you are talking about a bimini and others may be referring to the small short cockpit cover that attaches to the windshield and then goes up and over. My 180 Diablo has the former although I would like a taller bimini I could stand under. I see no way a taller bimini would fit in the aft space around the motor unless all the poles collapsed. I have never decided on one but would be curious if there is a good solution that would also stow.
