Z275 problems

Hello all,
I'm having issues with my loved z275. I've have a full engine rebuild and it runs and sounds perfect stint ting at the dock, but as soon as I stick it into drive and pull away it starts coughing and farting with backfires from the outlet manifold
I've replaced plugs, leads, coil, distributor, injectors and don't know what to do next as I'm baffled!
Really hope someone out there knows what this might be??
Please help

have you put a timing light on the engine yet? If its back firing , sounds like timing.
Just my 2 cents

Re: Z275 problems

Lean fuel mixture or timing is off. A couple of other things to check is the fuel filter to ensure that it's clean and that when you replaced the ignition wires that you got them back in the correct order.

Thanks for your replys guys, the timing has been set at the required 12degrees. And all new filters.
Not sure what fuel mix is required? I have just put £200 of unleaded from the garage fuel pump?
