Does anybody with a 242 0r 252 have the 502 mag engine package? looking for info since my insurance agent said it was not even a option on my model.:D

ShabahZ280 has original build sheets for Mariahs, If you send him your HULL number he can try and locate it for you. That should take care of your Insurance agent.

502's are rare..

I've seen one in a Z250 listed on eBay. I don't think they were very common. Per the brochure the hulls are rated to 400 something horse power. A 502 mag would be in that ball park.

I can't make a 100% correct judgement on it, but the 502 Magnum is a huge engine for those boats, and as motoxxx43 mentioned, the max HP rating for the hull is around 400.

Shoot me a PM with your hull ID number, (HIN) and I'll check out the build sheets for you. If your insurance agent needs a copy of it, I'll be happy to scan and email.

Got it insured no problem< my brother is my agent:) I talked to basa marine about it ( they sold the boat originally, and remember it) The farmer wanted a bigger engine than what was offered (454mag). So since they knew the owner personally he agreed to put the 502 mag in this boat . Being a bit of a motor head and performance junkie Im glad he did because this boat scoots right along at 65 gps at 2500' elevation. 28 p prop.Thx for all the info. LUV this boat!!!

Man, 65 is cruisin' for sure! I'm lucky to see high 40's at 4800'

Thx for the info, Ive been busy with life so its been awhile since ive been on the clubs web site. I got insurance and it worked out fine. After owning this boat I sure love it .You do not see many mariah boats out on the west cost. Ive done a couple of simple tweaks to the engine since I purchased it, Ive got a gps 69 out of her on lake washington, (sea level)

What type of info do you have on the build sheets. Might be cool to have mine.
