What the ???
OK, so I looked through the stickeys on my problem, and they are close to my issue, but maybe somebody else had this issue. Here it is. While backing out of my shore station, I will spin the boat around, put her in forward and start to "lobe" away, (captains call on, of course!!). The lower unit will trim down just fine. Get to the beach, start to raise the lower unit, it will run for about 4 or 5 seconds and then stop. Now I will have to jump to the rear to finish the job with the trailer switch. Doesn't matter if it has been sitting all week or warmed up. Raise it up, and it stops!Dang it! Any tips would be helpful. BTW.....1996 Z212 Shabah, 5.7 mag, alpha one

If i understand correctly your trim switch on the throttle is designed that way, it will only raise to midpoint, this is engineered that way to save the motor from coming out of the water @WOT and over-revving the engine. If you look just below the thumb switch on the throttle shaft you will see the trailer switch, you will need to use that when beaching or whenever you need to fully raise the outdrive.
