Fresh water tank

Hey guys, recently purchased a 2001 z275 Shabah and I've been all through the owners manual and can't find how large the fresh water tank is. Anyone know how many gallons it takes? I need to add a water stabilizer and it's based on gallons of water. Thanks!

The 2001 brochure states there's a 5 gallon water capacity.

Does the Z275 actually have a true freshwater tank? As in, it has an aluminum/plastic tank mounted in the engine compartment with a fill/pumpout fitting mounted on the side of the hull? You'll be able to tell quickly if it has a true tank because it will need a water pump to run, and there will be a power switch nearby.

My Z250 had a sink, but also had a portable 5 gallon water tank that attached to the sink via a piece of garden hose. This is what it looked like.

You'll know this is what you need if your sink nozzle has a small "hand pump" lever on it, rather than a turnable faucet.

Hope this helps!

Thanks so much! It's a true tank. We have a water pump that supplies the transom shower and the sink water.

Hey does anyone know where to get this 5 gallon portable freshwater tank? Just bought a jubilee and the hose and red and white end is there but no tank. Thanks.

That bag in the photo was cutting edge technology in the 90s:D You might be better off finding a different bag with a spout that will fit that hose. Im guessing its like 1/2 in hose? I have the same in my boat. Never used that bag as it leaked the one time I tried it years ago. We just carry a jug under the helm and have not messed with the sink since.
THIS might be comparable to the actual bag

There are some more up to date bags out there that look more durable. "water storage bag" on google

Thanks for the reply. I ended up finding one on amazon. It was cheap so I will try it out but my plan is to just plum a line up to the sink from my fresh water tank and pump that is used for the transom shower. Not sure why they didn't just do this from the factory since the tank is already in there...
