Another thottle shifter ?
 
On my 2001 180 Diablo there is a littl black push button on the lower left of the throttle. I am thinking this is for trailer mode but when I push it nothing happens. Is there a certain way this needs to be done?

Hi 01DiabloMissouri,

Can you tell us the make and model of your throttle? A picture would be better...

Anyway, I'll take a stab at this, it is possible your looking at the engine kill switch.

If not then try this - bring the out drive all the way up with the up trim button. When it stops, continue to hold the up trim button and then press this other button to see if you drive continues upwards, if it does, you've found your trailer switch.

Some units require pushing both the up trim and trailer buttons to raise the out drive to trailer position but only the down trim is required to drop it.

I should mention that I am 100% sure its not the engine kill because that is below the radio. I will try lowering my outdrive and raising it tonight and see what happens.

You didn't say what engine you have but on the Volvo throttle controls that button is the neutral lock button.
