OEM or After Market Starter
 

I need to order a new starter for my 06 Mariah. The question is the aftermarket starter just as good as the OEM. So far, I read that a lot of folks had good luck with the aftermarket starter.

Just make sure the aftermarket is a marine starter. Don't us an automotive starter because its not shielded like a Marine starter. Without this shielding to prevent igniting gas fumes that may have accumulated in the bilge you can end up with a big bang.
