Alpha 1 lower unit
 

I have a 2001 Z212 with a 5.7 Mercruiser. Knocked a hole in the lower unit going about 5 mph Labor
Day weekend. Insurance is covering replacement of complete lower unit. Alpha 1 Drive ratio is 1.47R. Boat has 300 hrs. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Can anyone recommend where to buy complete lower unit? Is there a possible up grade or is it best to replace with factory unit? Need to get stiletto stainless prop refurbished it took a hit as well. Can anyone recommend where to send prop for repair?

Not sure where you are located but this place in Florida is generally quite good for outdrive replacement: Sterndrive Replacement.

As for prop repair shops, i believe one or two of our members have used this shop in Minnesota:Prop MD

Located in New Mexico but will look into prop md for repair. Thinking about waiting on lower unit replacement. Don't think we will be getting back to lake this year so maybe with winter comes discounted price on lower unit. Planning on going back with factory replacement. Can anyone tell me how to put pictures off of my iphone on here? Thanks for the help
