Mercruiser Alarm 5.7L 350 Carb

I have a recently acquired 1998 Jubilee. I've notice each time I shut the engine off the alarm beeps 4 times. My 1st question is does anyone know what this is and 2nd is their a resource anywhere which breakes down the problems associated with the number of beeps or when the alarm beeps what the possibilities are. I have searched endlessly and even have the factory manuals

Thanks for the help

You didn't look very far. Why dont you look at the STICKY at the very top of this Mercruiser forum?

Mikey,
I have the 1998 5.7l carburated and it only discusses solid horn not intermittentbeeps.
I was looking for something that explained what the beeps meant for instance:
If you get four beeps a pause then four beeps after you turn your key off this means........
I have the factory manual for both the engine and bravo stern drive and no discussion exists regarding the alarm function

Have a look at the linked site in that same Sticky. It seems to have much more detail in the beep codes.
