95 Tolaria z240 hp?
 

I was wondering if anyone knows, or knows where I might find, the horsepower rating for my 1995 Tolaria z240 with a 7.4 mercruiser, ive heard 265hp but I find it hard to believe that a 454 is only putting out 265hp, thanks in advance

I believe the 7.4L is rated at 310 HP.

Pictures? Id be embarrassed haha I just bought the boat from a storage auction basically for the motor and out drive to part out, but after looking her over I may try to get some upholstery prices and if its not outrageous ill put it back together, it was left in the texas sun since 2007 and the vinyl is shot inside it, luckily the sundeck kept the motor covered so its still decent. Its my first experience with Mariah, seems the replacement parts are hard to come buy, if I decide to go with the rebuld Ill definitely post as it progresses, its a pretty solid boat.

"Tolaria" ?? Talari.... 310hp at the prop is correct. That 7.4 is a lazy motor....its not made to run at high rpm for any length of time and when the rpms drop to its best cruising area around 3500 that hp drops considerably too. Treated right though it's a workhorse with all that torque.
