Hello its rain man again its been a while. Got 2 issues with the boat now. First the tilt trim up button stopped working. The down works and the trl up buttom works. 2nd issue got the motor to max rpm for a few seconds. Think its wrong it had needle on gauge buried at 6000 rpm. Only got 50 mph which I think is slow. Have to rpm checked to see if accurate.

Without verifying it is right , your wasting your time trying to improve your topend. And , if it's pegged at 6 grand...........it ain't right.:eek_animated:
As for the trim issue , take a look here for help diagnosing the trim.

I will get rpm checked out. It doesn't sound right at top end as far as sound. Will check tilt issue thxs.

I read somewhere a while back that for a 1 mph top speed increase you need 10 additional hp (all else being equal). I dont see your boat ever hitting 60 mph in its present form. And forget 60 mph on your speedo. Check it with a GPS.

Yes I think I will have to get a tachometer hooked up to it.

Hello update on the boat. Got rpm fixed. The last owner had the rpm gauge set to a 6 cylinder engine. Rpm is right now at 4800 rpm's with a 4 blade ss 19 pitch. And the up button started working on the switch. Weird must have a bad wire ground or something. Thx everyone for everything and good luck to everyone.
