None of the lights work

2001 Mariah 180 Diablo. None of the lights work and the fuses are fine. Where do I start when attempting to diagnose and fix the problem? My boat is in impeccable condition, just bought it this year.

First make sure the bulbs are okay then clean up the electrical connection including the grounds/grounding block. Corrosion is the likely cause.

The lights do not even come on on the switches either? Does that matter?

Re: None of the lights work

If the switches do not light up then it sounds like the connection at the distribution block is poor. Mine is located up underneath the dash next to the hull. Giving each of the connections a little 'jiggle' will usually indicate which ones are bad. If not then pull each of the connectors apart one at a time & clean them before reconnecting. Also check the distribution block mounted on the transom & do the same.

MIne also has a dimmer for all lights inside, so make sure that is not dimmed down.

The Diablo didn't have that option...
