Found where all that gear oil went to!
 

The Bravo III was losing gear oil since '06 when new gimbal bearing, bellows , u-joints etc. were replaced. I would slowly lose a couple ounces every so often. No oil in the bilge or on the water. Thought maybe there was still air in the OD and it was workin' out and finding its own level. Wrong.

The recent inspection located all the oil in the bellows. The seals were leaking slowly but no water was ever found in the gearcase. My Marina is covering the new seals and installation. Good winter work for them. I will pick up the outdrive sometime this winter or early next spring.
I kept the SS props and maybe send them out for balancing and polishing.
Just something else for the 'To Do' list.

In the meantime, the Prestige trailer needs the brakes adjusted, just replaced all the bunks and bunk carpeting.

So much to do and no one to do it for me.
